A bilingual LMS in Saudi Arabia for schools, universities and employers
المملكة العربية السعودية
Ilmoria is a learning management system that works fully in Arabic and English, with every screen right to left in Arabic. It gives Saudi private and international schools, universities and training teams one place for courses, exams, grades, parent communication and certificates. Each school, campus or business unit keeps its own branding, users and data.
Education and training in Saudi Arabia
One ministry, national platforms and a new calendar
The Ministry of Education oversees both general and higher education, and the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) evaluates and accredits schools, universities and programmes. Public schools use the ministry's Madrasati platform for online and blended learning, while private and international schools teaching national, American, British or IB programmes choose their own systems. Public schools returned to a two-semester year from 2025–26; private and international schools and universities can choose their own academic model.
Online learning has its own regulator
The National eLearning Center (NELC) issues Saudi Arabia's eLearning Regulation and standards. Organisations offering online courses or programmes in the Kingdom generally need an NELC licence, and licensed online providers connect to the national FutureX platform. If you plan to sell, certify or scale online learning, check which NELC rules apply to you before you design your setup.
Vision 2030 puts skills and Saudization at the centre
Vision 2030's Human Capability Development Program makes lifelong learning and job-ready skills a national priority. In the private sector, Saudization targets under the Nitaqat programme mean employers recruit, onboard and upskill Saudi staff continuously, often with training support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). That puts clear, provable training records at the heart of HR work.
How Ilmoria fits institutions in Saudi Arabia
Arabic first, not translated later
Every screen works in Arabic and English and switches per user, with Arabic fully right to left. Staff can correct any interface wording, and text teachers and students write is never auto-translated. See how the bilingual interface works.
School groups and multi-campus universities
Run schools in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province from one account. Each keeps its own logo, web address, users and data, while leadership sees central reporting across schools.
Parents who stay informed
Parents follow each child's progress and final grades, message the school office, administration or teachers, and print invoices and receipts. Conversations are filed by topic: general, academic, attendance, payments or behaviour.
Certificates HR teams and universities can check
Completion, achievement and graduation certificates are branded PDFs with serial numbers and a QR code that opens a public verification page. Training providers and HR teams running Saudization-related upskilling can prove who completed what.
Exams with integrity checks
Each quiz or exam attempt gets an integrity score from browser events such as leaving the tab, and suspicious attempts are flagged for teacher review. Final exams go through an approval step before students see their grades.

Data protection: what to check
Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), overseen by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has been fully enforceable since September 2024. Before moving student or employee records to any platform, check your legal basis and consent records, who can see which data, how long you keep it, and whether data will leave the Kingdom, which SDAIA's transfer regulation governs. Ilmoria provides tools that help: consent records, role-based access, audit trails, and data export and deletion on request. We make no compliance claim on your behalf and do not promise hosting in the Kingdom; talk to us about your hosting-region requirements and read our security overview.
SecurityQuestions buyers ask
Does Ilmoria work fully in Arabic for Saudi schools?
Yes. Every screen is available in Arabic and English, and Arabic is fully right to left, including menus, the gradebook and reports. Each user picks their language and can switch at any time. Staff can adjust interface wording to match the terms your school uses, and lesson content stays exactly as your teachers wrote it, with no automatic translation.
Can we use Ilmoria alongside Madrasati?
Yes, though the two are not connected directly. Public schools use the ministry's Madrasati platform, while Ilmoria is mainly for private and international schools, universities and training teams that choose their own platform. If you need to move users, courses or grades between systems, Ilmoria imports and exports them as CSV files, and enterprise plans add a REST API and webhooks.
Is Ilmoria accredited by the National eLearning Center?
Ilmoria makes no claim of NELC accreditation. Ilmoria is a platform, and NELC licensing applies to the organisation that offers online courses or programmes and to the service providers the Center accredits. If your programme needs a licence, confirm the current requirements with NELC, including any connection to the FutureX platform, and share them with us so we can plan your setup together.
Can our data be hosted inside Saudi Arabia?
Ilmoria does not promise in-Kingdom hosting by default. The platform runs on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, row-level isolation between organisations and daily backups. If the PDPL's transfer rules, your board or a client contract require a specific hosting region, raise it at the start of the conversation and we will tell you what is possible before you commit.
Can companies use Ilmoria to train new Saudi hires?
Yes. Companies set up business units with admins, managers or trainers and employees, then assign onboarding and skills courses with quizzes and completion certificates. Managers follow progress per team, and each certificate carries a QR code that opens a public verification page. Read more about corporate training.
