A parent portal for schools, in Arabic and English

Parents sign in once to follow every child they have at the school. They see progress, grades and final grades, message teachers or the office in conversations sorted by topic, and print invoices and receipts. The school answers fewer phone calls, and families stop relying on screenshots from their children.

Every child, one login

Progress, grades and final grades for each child in the family.

Messages sorted by topic

Academic, attendance, payments, behaviour or general, to the office, administration or a teacher.

Invoices and receipts

Parents view and print their own documents without visiting the office.

Follow each child's progress and grades

A parent with three children at the school follows all three from one account. For each child, they can see progress through courses, grades on work that has been marked, and final course grades once the school confirms them. The parent of a self-paced learner can see whether their child is keeping up, which turns a vague 'everything is fine' into a conversation backed by facts. Grades come straight from the teacher's gradebook, so there is no separate report to wait for.

Send messages to the right desk

Parents start a conversation with the school office, the administration or a teacher, and choose a category: general, academic, attendance, payments or behaviour. Categories let the school see at a glance whether a message is about an invoice or an essay mark, and who should answer it. Staff can close a conversation once it is resolved and reopen it if the parent follows up, so nothing gets lost on someone's personal phone. Read more about how messaging works for staff.

Let parents view and print invoices and receipts

Each student has their own invoices and receipts, and parents can see and print them from the portal. Every invoice carries a status, such as unpaid, paid, overdue, grace period or hold, so a parent knows where things stand before calling the accounts office. Schools record payments made by cash, bank transfer, card, cheque or online, and an online payment gateway can be connected on request. Printed receipts also help with employer school-fee allowance claims, which many families in the Gulf rely on.

Give families the language they prefer

Parents switch the whole portal between Arabic and English, and Arabic is fully right-to-left, so each parent can use the language they read most comfortably. Ilmoria does not auto-translate messages, so what a teacher writes is exactly what the parent reads, and the school stays in control of its tone. Enrolment paperwork follows the same approach: parents e-sign handbook acknowledgements and policies during admissions, and student affairs tracks which documents are complete.

See exactly what a parent sees

When a parent says a grade is missing or a button does not work, administrators can log in as that parent and see the portal exactly as they do. Read-only stealth mode lets staff look without changing anything, and update mode lets them fix a problem on the parent's behalf. Each session expires automatically after 2 hours. Support calls get shorter, and the school can answer with confidence instead of guessing from a description over the phone.

Questions buyers ask

Can a parent with several children use one account?

Yes. Parents follow each of their children from the same portal, with progress, grades and final grades shown per child. Invoices and receipts are also kept per student, so a family with children in different grades can see each child's documents without mixing them up or calling the office to ask.

Can parents message teachers directly?

Yes. Parents can start conversations with teachers, the school office or the administration, and each conversation has a category: general, academic, attendance, payments or behaviour. Staff can close conversations when they are resolved and reopen them later, which keeps a clear history instead of scattered messages on personal phones.

Can parents pay fees through the portal?

Parents can see and print invoices and receipts in the portal. Schools record payments made by cash, bank transfer, card, cheque or online, and an online payment gateway can be connected on request. Talk to us about the gateway you use so we can confirm how it fits your setup before you go live.

Is there a mobile app for parents?

Parents use Ilmoria in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and they can install it as a web app on their home screen for one-tap access. The portal is mobile-friendly and works in Arabic and English. Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap.

Can school staff see what a parent sees?

Yes. Administrators can log in as a parent to see the portal exactly as it appears to them, either in read-only stealth mode or in update mode to fix something on their behalf. The session expires automatically after 2 hours, and important actions are recorded in the audit trail.

Which schools is the parent portal designed for?

It is built mainly for K-12 schools, where families follow progress, talk to teachers and pay fees through the year. It works the same way for online, blended and campus-based schools. See how it fits alongside admissions, grading and live teaching on the K-12 schools page.
