The challenge
An online school lives or dies by its systems. Ithraa needed self-paced courses with real mentors, assessments that could be trusted without an exam hall, official transcripts and certificates that universities would accept, and a way for parents in different countries to stay informed. All of it had to work in English and Arabic.
Courses and mentors
Each subject is built as units and lessons with slides, interactive activities, course books and resources. Students move at their own pace against a target completion date, and mentors run live sessions on a weekly timetable.
- Grade 9 subjects include Maths, English, Science, Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic and Career Development
- Electives chosen by students during onboarding
- Automatic enrolment in every course for the student’s grade and section
Assessment students and parents can trust
Each unit ends with a 10-question assessment. Multiple-choice questions are marked automatically; written answers go to the mentor, who sees the answer key while marking. Final exams carry integrity monitoring, and grades are approved before students see them.
Official records
Final course grades are confirmed by mentors and locked. Transcripts are organised from grade 9 to 12 with GPA and credits and go through approval. Enrolment and completion certificates carry serial numbers and QR codes that open a public verification page.
Families and the school office
Parents follow each child’s progress and final grades, print invoices and receipts, and message the school office, administration or mentors. Student affairs handles enrolment documents, including handbook acknowledgement signed by student and parent.
