More than an inbox: the whole email service
Ilmoria runs your school’s email from end to end. Our mail servers deliver your messages to any email address in the world and receive the mail sent to your addresses. Every message leaves signed for your domain with SPF and DKIM, the checks receiving mail services use before they trust a message, so your mail lands in the inbox rather than the junk folder. Incoming mail is checked before it reaches anyone: spam goes to the Spam folder and the worst is refused outright. Your school doesn’t buy mailboxes from another provider, run a mail server or need someone to maintain one.

A full mail app your staff already know how to use
Everything people expect from their email is there: inbox, starred, sent, drafts, spam and trash folders, messages grouped into conversations, and fast search. Staff write in an editor with bold, italics, underline, lists, quotes and links, and set the writing direction of each message for Arabic or English. They add Cc and Bcc, get address suggestions as they type, reply, reply to all, forward and attach files, and drafts save themselves as they write. Email works in any browser, on phones with a layout made for small screens, and in the Ilmoria desktop app for Windows and Mac.

Connect your domain in a few steps
A school administrator opens Email settings, types the domain and gets the exact DNS records to add, each with a copy button so nothing is mistyped. Check again shows which records are in place. If the school already uses another email service on its main domain, it can connect a subdomain such as mail.yourschool.edu instead, so existing mail keeps arriving where it does today. Once the domain is verified, the school sends from its own addresses and receives mail sent to them.

Shared mailboxes for offices, personal mailboxes for staff
Most school email isn’t personal: questions to admissions, the main office or accounts are answered by whoever is on duty. The administrator creates shared mailboxes for these addresses from Email settings and chooses which staff members use each one, so a family’s email is answered even when one person is away. Staff can also have personal mailboxes on the same domain, all managed in the same place, with no separate admin console. Mail sent to an address that doesn’t exist can go to a mailbox the school chooses, so nothing is lost to a typo.

Private and protected
Email holds sensitive information about students and families, so it is built carefully. Administrators decide who uses each mailbox, and that choice is recorded in the activity log, but they don’t read other people’s mail. Pictures in incoming messages, which senders can use to track when an email is opened, stay blocked until you choose to show them. Is Ilmoria Email a full email service or only an inbox?
A full email service. Ilmoria runs the mail servers that send and receive your school’s mail, filters spam and signs every message, and staff read and write mail in a complete mail app inside the platform. You don’t need another email provider.
Can we use our own domain and keep our current email?
Yes. Connect your school’s domain and add the DNS records Ilmoria shows you, and mail is sent from and received at your own addresses. If your main domain already uses another email service, connect a subdomain such as mail.yourschool.edu instead, and your current email keeps working as it does today.
Will our emails reach inboxes, not junk folders?
Ilmoria signs every message with SPF and DKIM for your domain, and the settings page also suggests a DMARC record. These are what receiving mail services check before they trust a message. Sending limits for each school protect your domain’s reputation.
Can staff use it on their phones?
Yes. The mail app works in any phone browser, with a layout made for small screens, and on computers in the browser or the Ilmoria desktop app for Windows and Mac.
Can administrators read staff email?
No. Administrators choose who uses each mailbox, and that is recorded in the activity log, but they aren’t given access to other people’s mail.
Do students and parents get mailboxes?
