An English and Arabic LMS for schools and universities in France
فرنسا
Ilmoria is an LMS for institutions in France that work in English or Arabic: international and bilingual schools, Arabic programmes in schools, associations and universities, and training organisations with Arabic-speaking learners. Every screen works in English and in Arabic, fully right to left. There is no French interface, so Ilmoria fits where English or Arabic is the working language.
Education and training in France
Éducation nationale and the académies
The Ministry of National Education sets curricula and national exams, including the baccalauréat, and runs schools through regional académies. Private schools are either under contract with the state (sous contrat), following national curricula, or independent (hors contrat). Public schools use the digital workspaces (ENT) and school-life software chosen by their académie or local authority, and Ilmoria does not connect to them.
Calendar, universities and training
The school year runs from early September to early July, with holidays staggered by zone. Higher education institutions are evaluated by Hcéres, and training organisations that receive public or mutualised funding need Qualiopi certification. Abroad, the AEFE network of French schools includes many schools in Arabic-speaking countries.
Arabic in France
Arabic is taught as a modern language in some collèges and lycées, through EILE classes in some primary schools, at universities and INALCO, and by many associations and private schools. France also has a large population with roots in North Africa and the Middle East, and Arabic is spoken in many families.
Learning management for schools and universities in France
English and Arabic, not French
Every screen works in English and in Arabic, fully right to left, and each user picks one. There is no French interface, so Ilmoria suits international schools, Arabic programmes and English-medium courses rather than French-language schools. See the bilingual interface.
International and bilingual schools
Families apply online with documents and placement tests, parents follow grades and invoices in English or Arabic, and each campus keeps its own brand, users and data. See Ilmoria for international schools.
Arabic programmes for children and adults
Associations and schools that teach Arabic set up each level as a section with lessons, PDF course books, quizzes and one gradebook, and parents follow progress in Arabic or English. See Ilmoria for Islamic and Arabic schools.
Training organisations
Trainee groups, quizzes with integrity checks, progress reports in CSV and completion certificates with a QR code anyone can verify. Ilmoria won’t prepare a Qualiopi audit for you, but its records show who completed which course and how they scored.

Data protection: what to check
In France, the GDPR applies together with the amended 1978 Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), supervised by the CNIL, which publishes guidance for schools and education technology. Where consent is the legal basis for an online service, a child under 15 needs a parent’s consent as well as their own. Because Ilmoria is a US company, check how any transfer of data outside the EU would be covered, and review who can see each record and how long it is kept; public schools should also follow the Ministry’s rules for digital tools. In Ilmoria each school’s data is kept separate and each role sees only its own screens. We make no compliance claim on your behalf; see the CNIL and take advice from your data protection officer.
SecurityCommon questions
Is Ilmoria available in French?
No. Ilmoria’s screens are in English and Arabic only, and demo calls and support are in English or Arabic too. It suits international schools, Arabic programmes, university departments that teach in English or Arabic, and training organisations with Arabic-speaking learners.
Does Ilmoria connect to ENTs or school-life software?
No. Ilmoria does not connect to ENT digital workspaces, school-life software or any Éducation nationale system, and it has no public API. Official records stay where they are required. Progress reports export as CSV, and transcripts and certificates print or save as PDF.
Can associations that teach Arabic use Ilmoria?
Yes. Each level becomes a section with its own courses, teachers and timetable, students use lessons, PDF course books and quizzes between classes, and parents follow progress in Arabic or English. Teacher and parent accounts are free, and the smallest yearly agreement is $1,500, so check pricing first.
Is Ilmoria Qualiopi certified?
No. Qualiopi certifies training organisations, not the software they use, and Ilmoria makes no claim of it. If you hold or are preparing Qualiopi certification, Ilmoria’s progress reports, quiz results and certificates can be part of the evidence you keep, alongside your own processes.
Can we be invoiced in euros?
Prices are the same in every country and set in US dollars, from $9 per active student a year, with teacher, parent and staff accounts free. On request, we invoice the same amount in euros. See pricing for the plans.
