The LMS for international schools, in English and Arabic

Ilmoria is an LMS for international and bilingual schools anywhere in the world: British, American and IB-style programmes taught in English, with Arabic for the subjects and families that need it. Admissions, lessons, grades, transcripts, parent contact and the journey to school sit in one platform, and every user picks English or Arabic, fully right to left. Try a free demo school filled with sample data.

The challenges international schools face today

Families arriving from everywhere

Applications come from other cities and countries, often in the middle of the year, with report cards from systems your staff have never seen. Documents arrive by email, and nobody can say at a glance which applications are complete.

Parents who read different languages

One school can serve expatriate families who read English and Arab or local families who prefer Arabic. Letters, reports and group chats in a single language leave part of the parent body guessing.

Records that travel with the student

International families move. Transcripts, enrolment certificates and final grades go to the next school, a university or an embassy, and they have to be right, consistent and easy to check.

Several campuses, one standard

Groups open campuses in new cities and countries. Each needs its own identity and records, leaders want one way of working, and parents want to know their children are safe on the way to school and back.

How Ilmoria helps international schools

Admissions for families applying from anywhere
Send each family a private application link. They complete the application and upload documents such as previous report cards, and applicants take placement tests in maths, English and science online from wherever they live. Your team reviews and accepts in admissions and enrolment, students and parents sign the handbook and school policies online, and accepted students are enrolled in every course for their grade and section.
Every parent in English or Arabic
In the parent portal, each parent chooses English or Arabic, fully right to left, follows each child’s grades, messages teachers or the office by topic, and prints invoices and receipts. Announcements can carry an English and an Arabic version, and each reader sees their own. Nothing people write is machine-translated, so a teacher’s words reach the family exactly as written. See Arabic and English.
Your curriculum, your structure
Ilmoria does not tie you to one curriculum. Set up your own year groups or grades, sections, courses, units and lessons, assess work with rubrics your departments write, and track competencies and portfolios alongside marks. Teachers confirm final grades in the gradebook, and administrators lock them.
Transcripts and certificates that travel
Transcripts with GPA come from confirmed final grades, pass an approval step and print as PDFs in your school’s design. Student affairs issue enrolment certificates for visas, scholarship sponsors and parents’ employers, and every certificate carries a serial number and a QR code that anyone can check online.
Every campus in one account
With multi-school management, each campus has its own logo, colours, sign-in page, users and data, and its own choice of features, even in another country. Group leaders sign in once and move between campuses, and reports stay with each school.
Arrivals, buses and the trip home
With each parent’s consent, student safety shows Student Affairs who has arrived, who is on which bus and who has left campus during the day, and tells parents when their child is late. Location is recorded only around school hours and deleted after 30 days at most.

Common questions

Does Ilmoria support British, American and IB curricula?

Yes, because it does not tie you to one curriculum. You build your own year groups or grades, sections, courses, units and lessons, and assess work with rubrics your school writes. Final grades use letters on the 4.0 scale and transcripts show GPA, which suits American programmes. If you report on other scales, such as GCSE grades or IB scores, ask us to show how that would be set up during a demo. Ilmoria does not connect to exam boards, so entries and official results stay with them.

Can parents use Arabic while teachers work in English?

Yes. Each person chooses their interface language and can switch at any time, so a teacher can mark in English while a parent reads the same grades in Arabic, fully right to left. Messages and lessons stay in the language they were written in, because Ilmoria never machine-translates what people write. Families who prefer English never need to see Arabic.

What about families who read neither English nor Arabic?

Ilmoria’s screens are available in English and Arabic only. Messages and announcements arrive exactly as staff write them, so a teacher can still write to a family in another language, but menus, buttons and documents stay in English or Arabic. Many international schools already use English as the shared language with families, and Ilmoria fits that.

Can we run campuses in different countries from one account?

Yes. Each campus runs as its own school with its own brand, users, data, calendar and features, and the owner moves between them from the school account. If you have requirements about where data is hosted for a particular country, raise them during procurement and we will go through them with your IT team. See multi-school management.

Can applicants take placement tests before they move?

Yes. Applicants take placement tests in maths, English and science online, from home, and the results sit next to their application and documents. That gives your admissions team its own evidence when report cards come from different curricula or countries and are hard to compare. See admissions.

How much does Ilmoria cost for an international school?

From $9 per active student a year, the same in every country, and teacher, parent and staff accounts are free. Prices are set in US dollars, and on request we invoice the same amount in euros, pounds or another local currency. See pricing for the plans and a price calculator.
